GET YOUR OWN COPY OF THE TRILINGUAL NEWSPAPER, ROUND ROBIN
This summer, the Round Robin newspaper will come to life in the form of a collaborative forum for self-empowered leadership, cross cultural solidarity, and language access. My collaborator, Melissa Liu, and I have developed an intergenerational platform for immigrant communities focused on language justice and technology literacy as part of my project, Round Robin (RR). Since 2017, RR has published a first-ever trilingual art newspaper (in Chinese, English, and Spanish) served as a creative forum for immigrant/local resident experiences alongside facts and history from NYC. The project’s title “round robin” is based on the concept of a protest document that conceals individual identities through collective participation. RR aims to produce a forum of autonomy that allows participant to raise their voices freely and honestly even if they are in a position of precarity due to circumstances such as immigration status.
